OTCBB Enhancements - Testing Begins December 11, 2000 (HTA #2000-96)

In January 2001, Nasdaq® will implement enhancements to the OTC Bulletin Board® (OTCBB). The following enhancements will be included in the release:
- Priced Unsolicited Quotes (a bid/ask accompanied by a modifier to reflect unsolicited customer interest) will be included in the calculation of the inside bid and ask.
- Like Nasdaq Market Makers (MMs), OTCBB MMs may have a correspondent position.
Testing Availability
Nasdaq has scheduled weekday and Saturday testing for the following:
- Quote Updates
- Unsolicited Quote Updates
- Registrations
Weekday testing on the Application Programming Interface (API)/Computer-to-Computer Interface (CTCI) Subscriber Test System is available from 9:30 a.m., Eastern Time (ET), to 11:00 p.m., ET, on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of each week, beginning on Monday, December 11, 2000.
Furthermore, a Saturday production test is scheduled for December 16, 2000, from 10:00 a.m., ET, to 1:00 p.m., ET.
To schedule a weekday test, firms should call the API/CTCI Subscriber Testing Center at
(800) 288-3783. To register for the Saturday test, firms should call the Testing Center by 12:00 p.m., ET, on the Thursday before the test. Please leave a message containing a contact name and a phone number. A testing coordinator will call you back to finalize the time/date schedules and testing arrangements concerning your firm.
