Technical Alert: Distinguishing OTCBB Securities on the NWII
|
Please be advised that several firms have experienced intermittent difficulties in distinguishing OTC Bulletin Board® (OTCBB) securities. It may be possible to view OTCBB quotes without typing a "3" before the symbol in the Dynamic Quote window of Nasdaq Workstation II® (NWIITM).
If you experience difficulties distinguishing OTCBB securities from The Nasdaq SmallCap MarketSM and Nasdaq National Market® securities, there is other information that clearly distinguishes them on NWII. OTCBB issues are not dynamically displayed and the Dynamic Quote window includes the Trade Unit, a Clearing Indication, and Status Identifiers (BB Active, BB 211, or non BB). In addition, please be aware of the Three Quote Rule responsibilities in the OTCBB.
